We invite proposals for Paper/Poster presentations
dealing with any of the sub-themes..
Completed Registration Forms, Abstracts and Full Papers, adhering to the
important dates mentioned below, should be emailed to aceconference2013@gmail.com with a CC to ajshermila@gmail.com as a word attachment. Selected papers will be published in the
Conference proceedings with ISBN. Papers
received after October 31st will not be included in the conference
proceedings. Posters should be sent as pdf to the above mail IDs before October
31st..
Both
abstracts and completed papers are to be typed as Microsoft Word documents in
Times New Roman font of 14 points titles and 12 points content and 1.5 line spacing with margins of 1" on all four sides.
Each presentation would be of 15 minutes duration only. The word limit for
abstracts is 200 words and that of full articles is 3000 words. Full Papers must adhere to the APA style for Documentation.
Best two papers will be selected by a panel and
will be awarded prizes.

Accommodation
Accommodation is
available for women delegates in the college hostel on payment of Rs. 200/-
(This includes breakfast for two days and one night stay). If required, accommodation will be arranged for
men delegates in a nearby lodge-twin-sharing/four-beds-on nominal charges. For details contact 0461-2377105.
Mode of Payment
Registration fee as well as Accommodation fee are to be sent by Demand Draft
drawn on any Nationalized Bank in favour of “The Principal, Annammal College of
Education for Women” payable at Thoothukudi. The Demand Draft should be
attached to the duly filled in Registration Form and sent by Post to the
address mentioned in the Registration Form. Please indicate on the backside of the DD if it is for Registration or Accommodation.

In case of joint authorship of papers for presentation , the second author must
also register for participation in the conference

Registration Fee includes two complimentary lunches
(Nov.21st & 22nd 2013), four tea/coffee with
refreshments (Nov.21st & 22nd 2013), and one dinner
on the first day of the conference (Nov.21st 2013),

Registration Fee does not cover accommodation.

All registered participants will get a conference
kit, a certificate of participation/presentation and conference proceeding with
ISBN.

Currently
a daily Spice Jet service between Chennai and Tuticorin is active. Tuticorin
Airport is at Vagaikulam, 14 kms. Away from the heart of the city.

The
city of Tuticorin is very well connected to other towns in the region through a
regular network of buses.
Places of Interest
Tiruchendur temple, known popularly as
Thiruchendur Murugan Kovil, is one of the main destinations at Tuticorin.
Thiruchendur Murugan Kovil, situated in Thiruchendur, is one of the Aaru Padai
Veedu of Lord Muruga which is 34 Kms. Away from Tuticorin. This ancient temple,
which dates back to the Vedic Period, is also noted for its architectural
marvel.
Manapad is one of the
religious attractions at Tuticorin, which is situated at about 10 kms away from
Tiruchendur. Manapad is a coastal village famous for its Holy Cross Church.
This is a famous church in Tamil Nadu, which has Saint Francis Xavier as the
patron Saint.
Kanyakumari which is 135 Kms.
away from Thoothukudi (Cape Comorin) represents all the beautiful things that
India has to offer the world. You can find many temples, churches, religious
pillars and statues that will keep the head spinning. It is a place of mixed
culture that is reflected in the arts, buildings and even in the food. You can
have an excursion to the Kumari Amman Temple or to the Vattakottai Fort that stands erect even today.
Rameshwaram which is 182 Kms.
away from Tuticorin is one of the holiest places in Tamil Nadu region in
southern India. It is one of the most renowned pilgrim places in the region and
is located on a beautiful island in the lower side of India and is separated by
a small Pamban channel from Sri Lanka.
Weather
The weather during November is quite pleasant, and the maximum and minimum
temperatures will range around 30°C and 26°C. Sometimes it may rain and it’s
better to carry an umbrella. This is the best time to visit this town, as you
can visit all the places of interest in the region in this pleasant weather.

About Our Institution
Annammal
College of Education (ACE) for women was established in the year 1962 by Thiru.AR.A.S
Arumugasamy Nadar the then managing trustee of Subbiah Dharmanidhi,
Thoothukudi. The mission of ACE is to bring out and nurture the talents and
skills of the student trainees with quality education and to motivate them to
be self-disciplined and develop their competence to face the challenges of the
future. The college offers a one-year teacher training programme leading
to the degree of bachelor of Education and one-year programme in Master of
Education. The college is affiliated to Tamilnadu Teachers Education
University, Chennai. To provide quality education there is continuous
improvement in the infrastructure of the college. Shri.D.Ganesan,
